This week's tirade:

What's the matter with kids today?

I don't understand today's young people -- it makes me feel like an old fart. There's a 19 year old girl who has been trying for the past 2 years to get pregnant with her boyfriend. She doesn't want to be an old parent she says -- I try to explain to her that being a parent at any age makes you old, she needs to enjoy being young for a while. An 18 year old girl I know left her home, her job, her future schooling, and a promising carreer as a gospel music singer -- all so she could f*** her boyfriend whenever she wanted to. I put it that way on purpose, there's no love there -- he's told her that if she should get smart and move back home, he's going to move away and find another girl he can use. Yet another one (the daughter of the lesbian I mentioned in 'I can't mess with this now') is living with her boyfriend as well, although I guess it's better than living with an abusive and childish mother, or a drunk father. And she's not working as a stripper anymore. Then there are the boys at work -- they think they know everything, and they don't want confused with the facts. They seem to think that we should be honored to have them work for us, and they can't be bothered with minor things like doing what they're asked, or even showing up to work when they're scheduled (though there are a few that actually seem to apreciate the employement, and want to work there). The only younger person I know that I relate well to is Jill, and that's because she used to be all the people I mentioned above, and she's finally grown out of it. I guess they all do eventually.

I did....
