While the rest of the American media was obsessing over the disappearance and death of an arrogant and foolish young man, this little blurb appeared in my daily infobeat update....

*** 5-year-old shot by brother

LAKE PARK, Fla. (AP) - A 6-year-old boy fatally shot his 5-year-old
brother Wednesday as the boys played with a shotgun they found in
their grandparents' bedroom, police said. Cory Andrew Wilson was
pronounced dead at his grandparents' home in this West Palm Beach
suburb, according to the Palm Beach County Sheriff's Office. His
older brother, whose name was not released, admitted to his father
and then to police he accidentally fired the shotgun, said Paul
Miller, a sheriff's spokesman. "The kid or kids found the gun
underneath a bed in the master bedroom, brought the gun in the back
bedroom," Miller said. The boys and a 4-year-old brother were being
cared for by their grandmother, who was watching TV at the time of
the shooting, Miller said. "He didn't intend to shoot his brother.
He's very distraught," Miller said. ###
