Imus is just like like Bush...

So how is Imus like Bush? Well, he just can't seem to catch a break these days. MSN had an article about the Imus Charity Ranch, where sick and terminally ill children can go and play cowboy for a week during the summer. They explained how the program worked, what the kids did, even how much it cost to host each child for his stay ($28000!). All so some sick and dieing children can forget about the bad and enjoy playing cowboy for a week. They told of his sponsors (many of whom are pulling their support now) and how much work he put into the program.

Then, in order to remind everyone that Imus is a redneck racist, they interview a local Hispanic man who points out that none of the locals can get on the ranch (strangely enough, the Imus's don't allow every Tom, Dick, and Harry onto the property to rubberneck at him and the children), and how all he's done for the community is donate money to the local medical clinic, and help convert an old school into a community center. To quote the local....

"Sometimes he was kind of funny, and sometimes he would say things he shouldn't say," said Lovato, downing a hamburger in La Risa Cafe. "I really don't think he's a good person."

Like I said, just like the president -- he just can't win...
