I guess I am still a myspace friend to my brother-in-law. Maybe he accidentally deleted me -- I did go through and clear out some dead wood myself (including what appeared at first to be a legitimate request, but turned out to be another spammer).

So harmony has returned to my online family once again, much to my relief.
